Description

Inuit encampment with one canvas? ridge tent and one canvas? domed tent, and related campsite equipment and supplies. The tents are supported with wooden struts, and secured with guy ropes and rocks around the base of the tent sides. In the encampment is one woman sitting on ground holding enamel cup, an second woman standing behind her, one man inside ridge tent, a second man walking away from site, and a child in the background. All predominately wear traditional clothing. The encampment is situated on a rocky plain with rocky hills behind, all with a light covering of snow.
