Description
Half-length group portrait of older Aivilingmiut woman and second Inuit woman, both with kakiniit (facial tattoos) annotated as being “tribal markings”, standing with European man in European clothing. The woman on the left wears a caribou skin parka with the hair interior and straps for supporting child across the chest. A large silver cross is pinned to one of the straps. The older woman wears European clothing. The group stands in front of a wooden building (possibly the Roman Catholic Mission?) at Repulse Bay.
