Description
River scene featuring a takia or velovelo dugout outrigger canoe with raised baca washstrakes but no end covers carrying a cargo of vudi plantains (Musa balbisiana). Her two man crew wear cotton isulu wrap-around skirts with waist sashes. One has his hair bound round with what are probably pandanus leaf bands, the other wears an ivauvau or hair-wrapping of what looks like white barkcloth.
