F.H. Dufty photograph of Government House, Nasova, near Levuka, Ovalau, with the Dining Room, Drawing Room and Nursery block at an advanced stage of construction. 1875.
A.J.L. Gordon, Captain L.F. Knollys, and Ratu Timoce Tavanavanua are identified, and there is a caption for Captain R.E. Stewart of the Royal Engineers, who is barely visible, standing with a horse against one of the verandah posts in the shade of the tree at left. Some European women in white dresses are standing under the roofed passage leading to the nursery, but are not identified. [Fergus Clunie, 26/7/2003]
