On Catalogue Card for duplicate print P.288.ACH1: “Corrong natives approaching their dead.”

A line of twelve Coroong (Corrong) Aboriginal men?, holding spears and shields, approaching their dead that have been mummified and positioned on platforms to the left. To scare away the evil spirit they throw their spears towards the deceased but do not him them. In the foreground is a pond with reeds and a Eucalyptus tree on the bank.
