Description
On Catalogue Card for duplicate print P.222.ACH1: “An old woman [sic 'man'] at the Campaspe and Murray river junction.”
Half-length portrait of an older Aboriginal man from the "confluence of the Campaspe and Murray Rivers, 120 English miles from Melbourne." The man's portrait is drawn in profile, and he has a "snow-white" moustache and beard, and cicatrisation on the shoulder and upper arm. The man wears a fur blanket? or cloak? wrapped over the left shoulder then down to keep the right arm free. [See Blandowski 1862, fig. 27]
