On Catalogue Card for duplicate print P.301.ACH1: “Native tomb near Swan hill, Murray river.”
Three burial tombs near Swan Hill on Murray River. The tombs are constructed of bark? panels forming small rectangular huts which cover the graves. In the foreground are two Aboriginal doctors, standing and sitting beside a fire with their spears upright next to them. The doctors must sleep for three days over the deceased to discover the reason for his death. The burial ground is situated amongst a cypress- pine forest of Callitris trees.
