LS.82374 to LS.82423 were found inside wooden box formerly numbered 23, now re-numbered C400/.

The inscription on the box, as well as a descriptive list of slides pasted on the inside lid of the box, indicates that it originally contained lantern slides from the Fens and belonged to D.G. Reid.
However the slides found do not match these descriptions.

Place: The Place field was previously recorded as being "?Europe; ?N America; ?Arctic; ?Antarctic", but the image shows four bas relief plaques including images of lions and ibex, suggesting that the images relates to Middle or West Asia, or North Africa. The Place field has been amended accordingly. [JD 19/2/2010]
