Description

Five houses with roofs made from thatched sago palm leaves and walls from the stems of sago palm leaves. The houses are built on the ground for purposes of generating warmth in the house. This style of house suggests that this village is located in a higher altitude where the place can become cold. Naineri village is to the west of Amanab station in West Sepik (Sandaun) Province. People there speak the Amanab language, and some others slightly north of Amanab may speak the Angor language. [Andrew Moutu 24/02/04]
