Description

New settled hamlet or village. People have abandoned the previous hamlet/village and are now resettled in this new one. The photograph shows a man carrying an ?axe or ?short gun, approaching the new settlement. He is wearing a hat and a blue trousers similar to that issued and worn by members of the PNG Royal Constabulary. Inscription on the slide states that this is a new settlement site near the Imonda rocks, West Sepik (Sandaun) Province. [Andrew Moutu 24/02/04]
