Description
Aerial view taken from an aircraft, of a long line of houses. The wheel of the plane is visible at the bottom of the image. Inscription on the slide suggests the view was taken during a trip from Vanimo to Pagwi. Pagwi is a small government station on the Sepik river, in the western Iatmul area, that links upper Sepik and the middle Sepik. There is no airstrip in Pagwi, the closest one would be in Buruwi, a Sawos village. [Andrew Moutu 20/02/04]
