Description
A Priest of a Northern Ibo deity by the deities shrine. The priest appears to be leaning forward or perched on a seat?, and he is wearing a tunic top and a ‘wrapper’ or cloth around his waist. He is holding a ceremonial staff in his right hand and ritual objects in his left hand. His head is covered with a raffia? hat. The shrine consists of a wooden figure raised on a platform surrounded by palm fronds and raffia. There are pots, calabashes and metal? objects around the shrine.
