Description

Young man making salt by using a wooden branch to crush salt in one of three sieves. The sieves are constructed from parallel wooden poles on upright struts, upon which horizontal branches are placed to hold conical open mesh of twines. Banana? leaves line the inside of the mesh. A tin can is placed under the sieve on the ground, around which the dirt appears wet. The sieves are positioned under the eaves of a thatched hut.
