Cultural Group: The Group field was previously recorded as being “Zulu”, but by the women's beadwork and outfits they are Batlokwa people. The Group field has been amended accordingly. [Information provided by Nessa Leibhammer, Curator of Traditional Southern African Collections, Johannesburg Art Gallery, JD 1/9/2013]
Place: The postcard is inscribed as 'Thousand Valleys', but this should read as 'Valley of a Thousand Hills', but it is very unlikely that these Batlokwa women resided there.
