A market scene showing vendors with their wares. One market seller is selling piles of a white substance (cotton?) or other foodstuffs? which are placed in mounds on a woven matt. In the background are thatched stalls with pitched roofs. and withare a few thatched stalls with pitched roofs. It is not clear what produce is being sold.

LS.51062.GIJ to LS.51074.GIJ were found with the piece of paper now numbered C246/2/ which was in wooden box formerly numbered XXX. It has now been renumbered C246/ by the cataloguer.
The inscription on the box as well as a descriptive list of slides pasted on the inside lid of the box indicates that it originally contained lantern slides from Dovecote and belonged to J.H.Bullock. However, at the time of cataloguing, lantern slides belonging to G.I. Jones were found inside it.
