Description
Half-length studio portrait of young woman wearing a white with embroidered edges chador style (see noted field) head scarf, open at the neck. Underneath she wears a fine gauze scarf which covers her neck and chest, and beneath this buttons and beaded or shell neck ornaments are visible. She wears wrist ornaments and a large nose ring. She has scarification marks on her cheeks, a marking between the eyebrows, and her fingernails hennaed.
