Posed studio profile portrait of a Moorish man with facial cicatrisation and a moustache and beard. The man wears an open weave cap decorated with tuft at the top, shells, coins, bells, and metal ornaments. He wears a coarsely woven tunic over a dark shirt and inner pale shirt. The man is possibly a water-seller? of Tangier.
