Description
Posed studio portrait of a Moorish woman sitting cross legged on cushions and drinking a cup of tea, with a Moorish teapot and heater to the right and a European style tea set to the left. The woman wears a head scarf, over shirt, patterned under shirt with frontal button closure, striped over skirt with white under skirt, and ear and arm ornaments. The woman’s hands and feet have been hennaed, and her slippers are on the floor in front of the woman. The studio has been decorated with a quilted hanging as a backdrop and patterned carpet to represent a Moorish boudoir.
