Description
Full length portrait of a woman wearing a chador (a piece of material which covers the head, shoulders and most of the body) and a niqab (a piece of material which covers the face, leaving the eyes uncovered). She is holding her chador together underneath her chin. Underneath these clothes she is wearing a long tunic to below the knees over a pair of very large, pleated baggy trousers which are caught at the ankle. All of the material is in a light colour. She is wearing shoes which have patterns incised on them, possibly made of leather.
The woman is also wearing an head ornament across her forehead. This appears to be made from a row of pearls, which form a circular shape in the centre of her forehead (with one pearl surrounded by six others). One pearl is suspended from this down onto the bridge of her nose.
