Description

Neck ornament, made from dark coloured round banana seeds threaded on a thin piece of twine. There is a single cowrie shell threaded through near the top of the neck ornament.
"It was one of the armlets of the Royal family of Uganda given to Cambridge in 1902 by the Prime Minister of Uganda through Rev. J Roscoe, C.M.S.” The neck ornament is in the care of the MAA, reference E 1903.467. [Ridgeway's caption]
