P.49910.ACH2. to P.49936.ACH2. were found in envelope now marked C210/4/. This was found in another envelope now marked C210/ which came from the wooden drawer 1.
Place: The Place field was previously recorded as being "Africa", but Luo are a cultural group of Nyanza Province, Kenya. The Nandi are a cultural group, with the language being a dialect of Kalenjin, and a place of Kenya. Lango is also a cultural group of Torit District, Southern Sudan (distinct from the Lango of Uganda), as well as being an alternative name for the Didinga. Acholi is also a cultural group located in both Sudan and Uganda. The Place field has been amended accordingly. [Source: Ethnologue 15th Edition, JD 18/6/2009]
Photographer: The handwriting on the reverse of the prints P.49897.ACH2. to P.49909.ACH2. is the same as the series P.49848.ACH2. to P.49875.ACH2, which has been provisionally assigned to J.H.Driberg, and the dates circa 1912 - 1921.
