Primary Documentation

Other Information

The print was found in envelope now marked C157/2/5/. This envelope was found in drawer 2 of the green cabinet. The entire cabinet was previously numbered as “batch 143” and is now re-numbered C157/ by the transcriber.

Context: The white pieces of cloth? worn under the women's belt and isigege (front covering) is very unusual, and not seen before by Nessa. The belts worn by the girls are probably purchased and have a metal? buckle with an embossed crossed design. The geometric beadwork designs are probably from southern Natal.
