The brown paper envelope, where this photograph comes from, has been marked C2/ by the cataloguer. This was formerly in the wooden drawer labelled IV.

The label on the envelope containing the prints mentions these as being found together with photos taken by E.H. Man. However, on the basis of a letter addressed to T.A.G Strickland and a print bearing his name, it has been presumed that these were personal and travel photographs taken by, or belonging to Strickland, and not Man. [Sudeshna Guha 3/9/1998]

The small envelope mentions are 9 but only 6 where found with the numbers: 6.1; 6.5; 6.6; 6.7; 6.8 and 6.9. The other are missing.
