Description

View of monoliths at Pengkalan Kempas, Negri Sempilan, Malaysia.

The three upright and dressed laterite monoliths locally called Pedang, Sudu and Kemudi and restored by Evans and colleagues in 1919. The long tapering sculpted stone to the left is the Pedang, or the sword of the saint of Keramat, the middle stone is his Sudu, spoon, and the one to the right the Kemudi, or the Rudder of the ship in which he arrived in the country.
