Description

Row of boats moored on two sides of the canal. Of the numerous canals within the city Evans commented: "Bangkok, like Brunei, has also been called the Venice of the East, but if one keeps to the roads in the more important parts of the city, one does not see much of the canals (klong) and their busy life, though glimpses of them can be obtained from the bridges that cross them here and there (The Years Behind Me, pg. 481).
