Expedition / Collector: This album was previously accredited to Alfred Haddon, probably due to Terry Hoare's listing in the 1970s, but research has subsequently shown that the album was complied by Sir Henry Evan Murchison James, retired Indian Civil Service during two of his world cruises, Pacific in 1906 and South America in 1912. The date and method that it was acquired by the Museum is not known. The Collector Field has been amended accordingly. [JD 1/22/2016]

Named Person: Dr Reid (b. c.1870 - 1927) has been identified from a photograph in the online publication 'Q Station: From Quarantine to Q Station' by Jennifer Cornwall and Simon McArthur, 2008. Dr Charles William was the Health Officer from 1903, until circa 1906 when immigration health system was nationialised. In 1913, Reid's position was as 'Federal Chief Quarantine Officer'.
