This past Monday marked twenty years since Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone was first published – twenty magical years! Here at the front desk, we’ve been celebrating and we’ve found some enchanted photographs in our collections to mark the event.
Below is a photograph of a witch’s bottle found in Farnham and once housed in the Pitt River Museum. It’s constructed of glass and it’s corked. The cork itself is nailed shut and tied down with cord. Was the witch keeping something locked in or locked out? What do you think? An old Potion’s project thrown away by Snape?
