Source: There are no entries in the 1885, 1889 or 1891 Annual Reports relevant to this collection, and instead it was probably part of Anatole von Hügel's deposit noted on p.57 of the 'SEVENTH AND EIGHTH ANNUAL REPORTS', December 8, 1892.':
"2. LIST OF OBJECTS RECEIVED ON DEPOSIT FROM NOV. 1, 1891, TO OCT. 31, 1892.
5. A large collection of anthropological and ethnological photographs, including many hundred portraits of natives of India, Africa, America, Australia, the South Sea Islands, &c. The Curator." [JD 26/08/2016]
