Description
On Catalogue Card: Canoe, Teste Island.
Dug-out outrigger canoe (probably of the Masawa type used in the Massim area) being pulled up on a beach. A European man is holding the bolt rope supporting the sail. Four local men are in the canoe. Another outrigger canoe is behind, with a tender (rowing boat) pulled up further along the beach. Two cutters (sailing boat with a bow-sprit) are moored off shore.
