Description

On Catalogue Card: Same as 15. ‘Darfur’ Abu Sekakin lion-trap from W. Darfur, trap now set. The knife is concealed in the sand. In this trap there is a slip noose through which the lion puts its foot the other end of the rope is attached to a T -shaped knife which cuts the tendons of the lion’s foot as he runs and lames him. (see specimen in Cambridge museum).
