Description
On Catalogue Card: Woman making palm oil.
It is more likely the nut has just been harvested and brought back in the canoes from trees across the river and the women are checking and picking over the nuts. The nut is boiled in order to extract the oil. [Information provided by the Great Lakes Initiative project team, JD 4/6/2016]
