Place: The Place field was previously recorded as being “Africa ; east Africa; Nuba”, but the catalogue card is annotated as “Nubian, Lafofa.”, which is from South Kurdufan province, Sudan. The Place field has been amended accordingly. [JD 2/6/2009, updated JD 09/01/2017]

Group: Lafofa is an ethnic minority among the Nuba people of Sudan, with numbers less than 10,000 persons, and living in South Kurdufan province. This minority is mainly Muslim.
