Description (Physical description)
2 strings of faience and carnelian beads

Context (Amendments / updates)
These objects were originally identified as part of the P.E. Newberry collection, however this is incorrect. The attached labels are in the handwriting of Captain Philip Whiteway, whose collection came into MAA as the Whiteway Collection but was apparently not accessioned at the time. The Source field has therefore been updated accordingly.

Context (Amendments / updates)
The Place field tentatively stated Tel el Amarna because this object, along with many others, was found in a drawer with labels that said Newberry Collection. From these this object was incorrectly associated with Percy Newberry who surveyed Tel el Amarna in the 1890s and returned in the 1930s. Due to the Philip Whiteway label this attribution to Tel el Amarna is not possible to determine and has been removed for now.
