'The old labels attached to the objects in the Thomson collection generally include local terms for the objects. Most of the label is in Thomson's hand; they start with the local language, such as [?] Millierpilli Matha on Z 27523 A-B - matha means language.
On the label for Z 27528 the second line [?] "Wulla warno bapwro" - bapwro is the word for clan.
Z 27526 A-B label includes a [?] Sjinang term and a term in Koupapugu , another widely spoken dialect'.

Context (Amendments / updates)
This is called a Bumba (in Matta-matta [language] of Mara), a possum fur fringe worn by women.
The name for the possum fur fringes worn by men is Wolzin wanmir. Possum fur over-wrapped with string bark, although human hair gives the greatest strength. The small apron size indicates it was worn by a young girl
From Alawa tribe, Bapurru clan group, Western Australia.
