Context (Field collection)
Biggleswade Ringwork was identified through aerial photographs taken by Dr J.K. St Joseph in 1954 and excavated twice by P.V. Addyman in association with the Archaeology Department of Queen's University Belfast and Ministry of Public Buildings and Works in advance of road building. This material was probably excavated in 1962, though is marked Big63.
