'Mai's passport' (2025) by Hinatea Columbani and Moeava Meder. A paper mulberry barkcloth maro (belt) impressed with netted watermark pattern using a Hawaiian ike (beater). Decratd with left to right: mountains temehani, a pattern illustrating a marae; the land and the river Tefa'aroa. The water and river symbols represent knowledge, the path refers to the past and the manu (birds) are tava'ae (tropic birds) connect to the gods and also lead the way for canoes
