Context (Amendments / updates)
From the information found in Fox (1923), the meeting report (1860), and the three different catalogue cards it appears there is some confusion made over when this object was found. Both Fox and the CAS report state it was found in 1859 yet two of the catalogue cards suggest the object was in the possession of Deck in 1841. At present the Cambridge Antiquarian Society have been noted in the source as the donor but both Sedgwick and Deck are only tentatively included until further investigation can be carried out.
