Cover catalogue card, typed, for 1982.3032-3160, reads, 'A collection of 128 Balinese shadow puppets ([underlined] Kropak Wayang) collected by Mr J. Darling and purchased by the Museum from Professor J. Goody with the aid of a grant from the Evans Fund and the Purchase Grant Fund administered by the Victoria & Albert Museum.'

The catalogue card noted that the collections were purchased in 1982.
