Description (Labels & Markings)
Label affixed to 'A' reads: '280 K 22d [A?]'; label affixed to 'B' reads: '510 18d'. The form and handwriting of the attached labels closely resembles those of Capt. Philip Whiteway, so it is probable that they were part of his collection at one point. He has therefore been added to the Source field.

Context (Amendments / updates)
Whilst no dat has been ascribed to this object, Whiteway's label reads, in part, '18d' and a question arises if this references 18th Dynasty.

Context (Amendments / updates)
There are questions arising from the association of this object with Percy Edward Newberry. The label affixed with string is in Whiteway's hand (this style of label matches others with clear links to Whiteway). Because the box the object is in has been labelled 'PE Newberry Cabinet', there is the possibility that by being stored with other objects once owned by Newberry, or housed in a cabinet containing Newberry material, it has been inadvertently also been assigned to Newberry. Philip Whiteway donated a large number of objects to MAA, as well as the Fitzwilliam. Both have been retained in the Source field for now.
