This brooch was found in D-057 of the teaching collection, South and West Iron Age brooches. In the 2002 audit it was possibly recorded as No Number 'Brooch'. It is unclear how it came to be marked with 1927.1954 A.

Copper alloy brooch of Serpentine type. Curved bow with serpentine form and circular cross-section, disc above junction of bow and pin; catchplate with U-shaped cross-section; globular knob at terminal.
