Context (Field collection)
A letter found in the accessions register notes that the stone points come from 'the Colombia River, just when it passes through the gorge of the Cascade Range [?] water the river will [?] 3/4 mile wide'. A notation in the register adds that this is between Mount Hood and Mount Adams.

Context (Analysis)
The Accession register clearly states that two of the seven arrowheads collected as 1918.194.4-10 were of obsidian. As only one obsidian arrowhead was found during processing for the stores move, it is likely that the missing arrowhead is of obsidian.
