Catalogue card (1924.155) in Louis Clarke's hand reads: 'From a site which has three small mounds, ruined houses, probably just across the Zuni River over the border of New Mexico into Arizona. The land was believed to belong to Williams in Zuni. A good many sherds lying about and quantities in wood quite close. Picked up [by the donor] July and August 1923'.
