Description

Two sherds from two different vessels. Sweetwater red-on-grey ware. C:one polychrome body sherd decorated with black and red thin lines one one side, and black geometrical shapes on the interior. D:one rim sherd with exterior surface decorated with multiple horizontal equally spaced ridges. Silver like sheen on both surfaces due to mica temper.

1954.174 A-E were presumably transferred from the Gila Pueblo Archaeology Foundation to the Arizona State Museum at an unknown date, which then transferred them to the Denver Museum of Natural History at an unknown date, but likely February 1953 (see 1954.152-154). They then came to MAA as part of an exchange with Denver Museum of Natural History in 1954.
