Description
Bone case, possibly for needles, with sliding lid and rectangular inlay of imitation turtle shell. Semicircular end incised with three leaves with small bud finial. Central, rectangular section with mirrored metal circular studs along top and bottom, either side of imitation turtle shell; further row of studs on reverse. No outer studs on front top row and reverse. Flared lid with elongated leaf or feather motifs, edge carved in grid pattern.
