Catalogue card E 1892.31.3 reads [handwritten in black ink:] ‘E. Australia. Catherine River. 1892.31, (3). Boomerang-like weapon.’; [later addition handwritten in pencil:] ‘”A boomerang like weapon ending in a hook like projection” via accession list. The label on boomerang gives 1906 Br. Jolley. It is doubtful whether it is the correct one MJ 11.11.21’.; [later addition handwritten in blue ballpoint:] ‘Hooked, non returning. This type of boomerang comes from Central + Northern Australia.’

Catalogue card E 1892.31.1-2 reads [handwritten in black ink:] ‘E. Australia. 1892.31.(1,2). Two Boomerangs.’; [later addition handwritten in pencil:] ‘Have marked 2 1892-31 (1, 2) but it is open to doubt whether they are the correct ones. Whereas they are marked 1892 Capt. Oliver, these appear to be associated with [arrow towards Stirling] MJ. 11/11/21’.

Oliver in 1892, so have Z-ed these 2 boomerangs.’
[Later addition handwritten in pencil on back of card:] ‘There is a wooden boomerang, with hooked end which has been displayed in the Maudslay Hall from 1990. It is labelled in the case as E 1892.31.2, but may be E 1892.31 B (having simply been mislabelled). A. McKeating 1993.’
