Context (Amendments / updates)
When the Mexican archaeology collection was re-packed for storage in 1985 the objects were assessed by Mary Hill Harris and other museum colleagues, then boxed according to period. This object was packed with Pre-Columbian/Pre-Hispanic and the Period field has now been updated accordingly; the Period field previously read Preclassic; Classic; Postclassic.

Description (Physical description)
Sherd from decorated vessel, with partial base and hollow foot, surfaces well smoothed. Interior surface decorated with lines and solid areas of red slip. Material red brown in colour with dark grey core and micaceous temper.
