Description

Three refitting sherds, one rimmed and reconstructed; possibly from one Pinnawa Red-on-white shouldered bowl; inturned rim, partially flat; soft carination at neck; possibly rounded body; burnished white-slipped surface; external surface has a neck band of applied red paint in linear and triangular motifs; some smokey patches from differential firing; fabric feel is smooth, with a light grey core.

Context (Amendments / updates)
When the Kechib:wa collection was packed for storage in c 1986 the pottery was assessed by museum staff and boxed according to type. These sherds were packed with Pinnawa Red-on-white material, which has now been added to the Description field.
