Description
One Pinnawa Red-on-white sherd, possibly part of neck. Broadly five-sided shape; fairly flat cross-section; slight tapering in middle of sherd, possibly indicated everted neck or rim; exterior surface is burnished and white-slipped, with applied red paint in linear and triangular motifs; pigment loss on surface; interior surface is rough ware, of reddish-brown hue; fabric feel is smooth and powdery.

When the Kechib:wa collection was packed for storage in c 1986 the pottery was assessed by museum staff and boxed according to type. These sherds were packed with Pinnawa Red-on-white material, which has now been added to the Description field.
