Found in what appeared to be the original packing for postage to the museum. The parcel was addressed to A.C. Haddon at 3 Cranmer Road. It was marked in a later hand '37.1097. Weaving loom. India. Clarke Gift. Samson Coll.' and was, apparently erroneously, also marked '1937.942' and 'Howell Coll. October 6th 1937' [which is allocated to another object].

Description (Physical description)
Pair of shuttle with bobbins for red and white thread. Closed bottom boat shuttles carved from wood; iron pins set into the shuttle to hold the bobbin, twisted on C; bobbins made from cane, C wrapped in red cotton thread and D wrapped in white. Part of weaving loom 1937.1097 A-I.
