Description
Implement with a bottle-shaped frame and ratchet cog. Base consists of a circular metal ring with rolled top edge and two rectangular openings; riveted to this is a vertical metal strip with plano-convex cross-section, bottle-shaped with angled shoulders and a rounded narrow top; winding mechanism in the neck, consisting of a shaft with T-shaped handle attached to an iron ratchet cog and pawl; remains of woven cotton strip threaded through the shaft.
